If you could re-do all of your experience with computer science, would you do anything differently?
I would take classes earlier, because I started my major late. While I adore taking two computer science classes a semester, I would have liked to space them out more.
What’s your favorite thing about CS (or math) at LC?
My favorite thing about CS at LC? The people!
What has been your favorite course at LC?
The Symphony, with Lance Inouye. I got to go to the Oregon Symphony twice for free. I also am currently taking curatorial affairs and have really enjoyed it thus far, because I get to read about and look at different art galleries.
What project or experience (in computing) are you most proud of?
I am most proud of how much I have learned in the short time I’ve been a CS student. A year and a half ago, I wrote my first complex program, and I’ve made enormous strides since then. I’m proud that I was able to stick with it when things got hard.
What’s some advice you have for other computationally minded students?
Make friends! And do homework together. It’s a lot easier to do hard things when others are suffering alongside you.
What is your favorite programming language?
Hmm, I feel like I can’t say SQL, but I like SQL the most.
