We’re very excited to announce that Amy Occhialino, director of Open Source Software Engineering at Intel, will be giving a colloquium as part of this semester’s colloquium series!
Amy has spent 20 years at Intel, primarily driving semi-conductor design, manufacturing, and innovation. In 2017, Amy switching into delivering open source software at Intel and currently manages the Zephyr Project, an open source real-time operating system. She is the chairwoman of the Zephyr Project’s board of directors, charged with implementing and ensuring open source governance practices, as well as leading Intel’s Women of System Software organization. In her personal life, Amy is the mother to two eight year old twin boys, currently aspiring Timbers players, and is the PTA president of their awesome school in North Portland, James John Elementary.
